Prayers for This Week

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

God has called us out of darkness into the glorious light of the Son. Let us therefore pray for those who do not yet know the light and for all those in need of our prayers, saying: Lord, hear our prayer.

For the church and its ministry to the world, for all bishops, especially our bishops, Andrew, James and Laura, and clergy, especially Nicholas and Dawn, and for all those who bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to nations, communities and parishes, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer.

For the nations of the world and their leaders, for all those in authority, for an end to war and oppression and for the men and women serving our country both at home and abroad, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer.

For those who have not heard the good news of salvation, for those who have heard but have not believed, and for those who have forsaken their faith, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer.

For those who are lonely, unloved, forgotten, struggling financially and victims of injustice and discrimination, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer.

For those who are sick in body, mind and spirit, who are hungry and the homeless, who are dying and bereaved, and who are in need of our prayers. We especially pray for those in our parish family: David, Dorothy, Lisa, Ken, Jason and Marcy, and for those in our weekly cycle of prayer: Maggie Bradley, James Briggs, Goffe Briggs and and his family, Richard Brown, Peter and Siri Burki and their family, Don and Tish Burton and their family, Joe and Sheila Capute, Virginia Cargill and her family, and Leonard and Donna Carlucci and their family. Let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer.

For the saints who have gone before us in the faith and are now at rest, especially Violet Van Buskirk, and for all the saints on earth who surround us in a great fellowship of love, let us pray to the Lord.

Lord, hear our prayer.

Loving God, hear the prayers of your faithful people, and guide our thoughts and actions, so that your will may be done and your name glorified, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
