FAQ

All staff members can be reached through the main church office number, 203-255-0454.

Members of Trinity's congregation are always happy to answer questions or send you to someone who can answer your question. Do not hesitate to ask anyone at a Sunday service for help with information about our church community.

How do I ask for pastoral care?

You should call one of the clergy and ask to see him or her as soon as it is convenient. If that member of the clergy is unavailable, ask for another or leave a message on the clergy's answering machine. If it is an emergency, there is a number to call on the church's machine or tell the person answering the church phone that it is an emergency and she will make certain the clergy is notified immediately.

How do I join Trinity Church?

Sign the Guest Book in the narthex of the church and if someone has not called you within a few days, call the church office and ask to speak to the Administrator.

How do I arrange for a Wedding, Baptism, Confirmation, or Burial?

The forms for these sacraments are on the Forms and Info pages under the Quick Links menu of this site. You should call the clergy first, arrange for an appointment to discuss the Sacrament, and then either download the form and mail it in or send it electronically to the clergy. Most Sacraments and Burial in the Memorial Garden do require a form, which are on Forms and Info under Quick Links on this web site. Places in the Memorial Garden may be reserved whenever anyone wants to. Information about that is on the Memorial Garden pages and the form can be downloaded on "Forms & Info" page found via the Quick Links to the right.

How do I reserve a room for a meeting or an event?

If you are reserving a room for a church committee or group, a form is not necessary; just ask the Financial Administrator if a room is free at the day and time you need it. For an event, you should call the Financial Administrator and find out if the room you want is available on the date you want it, ask her to email you the form for reserving a room, and then fill out the form and email it to her or mail it in. The forms can also be found  on the "Forms & Info" page (which can be found via the Quicklinks on the right side of any web page). There is a fee for groups outside of Trinity for rental of our rooms. That schedule is also on the "Forms & Info" page.

How do I and members of my family join a committee, ministry or social group at Trinity?

New members are always welcome on committees, ministries or in social groups. There is a contact name and phone number at the bottom of the description of each committee and social group or ministry on the Committees and Ministries page on the Our Community menu. That person will be happy to talk with you about the function and goals of the group and encourage you to join it. The clergy or the person in the Volunteer office (203-255-0454) also can also tell you who the current chair of the group is and tell you how to reach that person. The information is also on the Trinity Yellow Pages. For ministries involving the Worship services, speak to the clergy.

How do I inquire about the status of my pledge?

You should call or go in and visit Melanie Andrews in the Financial office in the office corridor.

How do I submit a notice or news item to the Messenger, Spire, Weekly Overview or Inspire?

You should email it to the Administrator at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

How do I add a name to the prayer list?

Call the clergy or the Administrator at the church office.

How do I update information for the church records?

Call the Administrator and she will direct you to the person currently keeping the records.

How do I donate a Memorial Gift?

You may send it directly to the Financial Administrator with a notation of whom it is in memory and what purpose it should be used for, or you may send it to one of the clergy with the same information. The clergy will also advise you of the many options for memorial gifts if you do not already have something in mind.

How can I be received into the Episcopal Church from another denomination?

Speak to the clergy and make an appointment for him or her to explain the process to you.

How do I donate flowers for the Sunday services?

Call the Financial administrator and ask what the current amount for Sunday flowers is and then send a check to her with a note telling the date you want them done, the name(s) of the person(s) they are in memory of, and she will take care of the rest. There are some dates that are for universal donations, so ask the Financial Administrator if there is any conflict with the date you have in mind.

Forms for donating money for Sundays are on the "Forms & Info" page (which can be found via the Quick Links on the right side of any web page) and those for Christmas and Easter flowers will be in the Messenger for several weeks preceding those celebrations as well on the "Forms & Info" page.

How do I or a member of my family join one of the Choirs?

You should call the Choirmaster and ask for an appointment for an audition.

Are there Twelve Step Meetings at Trinity?

Yes, and the schedule for those can be found on a link on Quick Links.
