Dear Friends and Fellow Pilgrims,
Attached you will find the details of the 2008 Anastasia Pilgrimage - Where Worlds Collide: The Mountains and Monasteries, the Gold and Azure of Romania
We are offering two departure options: from New York John F. Kennedy Airport on the evening of May 2, 2008 and from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport on the morning of May 3, 2008. We will arrive together in Bucharest in the afternoon of May 3 and return to our respective departure points on May 11.
Our airlines are demanding confirmation and deposits very soon after making our reservations. I am asking that reservations and deposits be received by me before January 15, 2008. Your space will be confirmed when I receive your deposit. I cannot promise there will be space available if I receive your reservation after that date.
As most of you know, I am still in Jordan working as a volunteer at the Holy Land Institute for the Deaf. I have found that the Jordan Post is totally unreliable so for that reason I am asking you to:
- send your reservation form to me by email
- send your deposit directly to the bank. You will find the bank address and account information on the reservation form. I will be able to see deposits online as they arrive. However, since many deposits will be identical, I am asking you to add some pennies to your deposit. For example, if your deposit is $1234.00, it will help me to recognize your deposit if you make your check for something like $1234.52 and show $1234.52 on your reservation form. You choose how many pennies to add.
I believe that pilgrims holding US passports and those with passports from European Union countries do not require a visa to visit Romania. However, you are responsible for verifying this information for your country of citizenship at the nearest Romanian consulate.
I look forward to sharing this pilgrimage to Romania with you, my old friends and new friends.
With my very best wishes for a blessed Christmas and a happy new year,
Polly Hodgins
