Trinity offers a variety of opportunities for adults to nurture their life in Christ and in the community. 

Bible Study

Trinity has a number of Bible Study options.  Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend. (Note: No prior knowledge of the Bible is necessary.)

Wednesday Bible Study
Bible Study meets Wednesdays, 12:00-1:00 PM in the Library.  A BYO lunch is offered in the Library starting at at 11:45 followed by the Bible Study.  For further details, please speak to Father Nicholas T. Porter.

The Rector leads this Bible study. All are welcome, regardless of familiarity with Scripture. Each session will have an easy, conversational style aiming at learning from God's Word and each other for our mutual benefit and spiritual growth.

Friday Women's Bible Study
Women's Bible Study meets on Fridays from 9:30-11:00 AM.  This study is led by Mother Dawn Stegelmann.  This year we are studying the Gospel of Luke and Luke’s second book, The Acts of the Apostles.

Adult Education Series

Middle East Forums, Thursday evenings, February 25, March 4,11, 18 and 25.

On various evenings throughout the year, Trinity offers lectures as part of our Adult Education series.  On Thursday evenings during Lent, Trinity will once again offer its popular Middle East Forums.  These lectures  The schedule for the lectures is:

  • 6:00 PM - Simple Supper in the Parish Hall
  • 6:30 PM - Evenings Prayers
  • 7-8:30 PM - Program and Discussion

  • February 25: Pakistan - Friend or Faux?, Presented by Thomas Simons, former Ambassador to Pakistan and Visiting Scholar at Harvard's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies
  • March 4: When Pharaoh no longer knew Joseph, The fragile witness of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt. Presented by Stephen J. Davis, Professor of Religious Studies, Yale University
  • March 11: Middle East, Middle Ground - Contemporary Christian, Muslim & Jewish Sacred Architecture, Presented by Karla Britton, Professor, Yale School of Architecture.
  • March 18: Son of God or Son of Mary? - Christ in the Koran and Islam, Presented by Ingrid Mattson, President, Islamic Society of North America and Director, Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations, Hartford Seminary.
  • March 25: Afghanistan - Two Views, One Reality, Co-Presented by Sonia Nassery Cole, Chairman and Founder, Afghanistan World Foundation and by Marin Strmecki, Senior Vice President and Director of Programs, Smith Richardson Foundation and former foreign policy advisor to U.S. Senate and to President Richard Nixon

All Forums are free of charge and open to the public. Parking is available in the corner lot on Center Street.
